Modernity has given us a decentralized educational system known as the internet. Our ancestors had very little, outside of experience, from which they could learn, compared to the plethora of information that we have access to, today. Availability of knowledge is stunning, yet being uninformed is still prevalent. We have access to some of the most brilliant minds who willingly share their experiences, offer their instruction, and give their wise council and guidance on platforms like YouTube and others.
If you have a dream, do yourself a favor and educate yourself; uncover the ends and outs of the skills that it will take. Research what it might be like to have what you wish for. If you want to own a Gulfstream jet, be sure to educate yourself on more than the just the purchase price. In other words, be careful what you wish for. Actually be thoughtful about what you wish for. Become learned and make sure you’re ready for your coming attractions. You can’t prepare for every variable, but you’ve got convenient access to data over which your ancestors would have dropped their jaws. Don’t wish for fame, until you learn what it might be like to lose your anonymity. Don’t hope for wealth, if you don’t learn of the responsibilities and drawbacks of having such resources.
Once in the spotlight, it’s hard to go back behind the scenes. There are no free rides, so to speak, so make sure you really want what you hope for. If you are unsure, it means you’re not ready to assume the responsibility. Uncertainty means that you need to spend more time in obscurity. But when you’re ready, the curtain will rise, and you can take centerstage. But don’t panic with the host of liabilities that comes with being the star of the show. If it’s your destiny, you will be able to handle it because you were informed.
