Most humans are capable of coming up with a list of what’s wrong with themselves, what’s wrong with others, and what’s wrong with “the world.” The mind seems to naturally love to negatively evaluate its environment. Unfortunately, social media seems to amplify these proclivities, portraying the world as a rotten place to live. Envying our friend’s “perfect lives” displayed on social media seems to reflect an inward critique of our own, seemingly crappy lives. Being outrage with opposing political statements, only amplifies the collective, mental viewpoint that we are living in a “divided world.” These critical assessments of the world are simply out of control and, it’s time for developing a new skill.
Why not work towards becoming a creative thinker, one who deliberately takes time to generate ideas that solve, rather than create problems. Who wouldn’t love to be credited for finally solving the dilemma of negative thinking and behavior that plagues the world? Your creative reflex, your ability to fix, to improve, and to create positivity is probably in need of strengthening. To welcome good ideas into your life requires the beauty of quiet, silence, stillness, and time. Start crafting better, more positively influential ideas into your life for better health and experiences for yourself and others. Start creatively thinking of ways to strengthen your character and to build better relationships with people. Devote your time to incubating good ideas and practice coming up with them daily – in quiet and in deep, undistracted reflection. If the world needs anything, it’s more ideas for crafting a better, more pleasant atmosphere for human thriving. Join in!
Coming up with Eureka-like ideas that bring about creative change feels exhilarating. Nothing you come up with is too small, or insignificant – just take some time each day to come up with new, creative ideas. Develop a new talent unknown to most – the talent of becoming a creative thinker who solves problems and creates a better world for themselves and for others. Being a critic is easy and comes naturally to most – being a creative contributor to a better world is a true and admirable talent that we can all develop.
