There are unimaginable rewards for being yourself. Most obviously are a sense of satisfaction, inner rest, and a feeling of fulfillment. A restless person, however, is one who struggles with knowing what their inner being desires. They wrestle with their true self, because their perceived self thinks it wants something different. The mind has a cunning way of covering up what the soul really wants. The person who lives an honest expression of themselves is one that lives from the source of inner love, not from the source of mental fear.
But of all of the goodies of spiritually aligning with your true self, the one that I think is the most important is liberation. When you connect to the creator of your being, the source of life itself, you are free from the bondage of the external world, and most importantly, you’re free from the prison of the mind. When you unshackle the truth of your inner desire and move towards what pleases you, you’ll observe yourself choosing new things. You’ll see yourself behaving in pleasing ways – saying the right words, taking the right actions, and being a source of love and laughter. You’ll observe yourself being playful with everything because your inner being knows the folly of the material world. You’ll bring humor and lightness with you into every situation you encounter. You’ll unveil the heaviness of the mind, and you’ll make people around you feel at ease. You’ll bring both fun and love into the darkest corners of the world, and you won’t be afraid to go where you need to or to do what you need to.
Your inner being is guiding you “home” to the heavenly realm of who you are. Don’t bury it, suppress it, or deny it. Call it forth by listening to your gut, intuitive nature. The world needs to see your true, sincere, and honest self. This is our greatest purpose as humans. Set yourself free, and bring forth your true self – today.
