How are you? WHO are you?

In holy scripture, I AM is always followed by something of great significance. “I AM gentle and humble in heart.” “Be still and know that I AM God.” God said, “I AM that I AM.” So when you say I am, you are evoking the supreme creator of all life! So be careful what follows those two, tiny words. When someone asks, “How are you?” I want you to assume they’ve asked “Who are you?” Then you won’t say, “I am OK, or I am tired, or I am fine.” You’ll say something more truthful. Here are some helpful ones to get you thinking in the right direction:

I am love. I am the channel of peace, blessing, fulfillment, and joy. I am uniquely fashioned and one of a kind. I am settled and grounded. I am health in perfected form. I am spirit, therefore I cannot be harmed nor threatened. I am well-liked because I like others. I am loved because I freely express my love for others, even those who speak harm. I am unperturbed and filled with everlasting abundance. I am secure. I am safe. I am free to spread my wings and fly high into the air, unencumbered by pettiness. I am the great wisdom that traverses all obstacles. I am the way-maker. I am calm and do things easily. I am the beneficiary of insight, wisdom, and truth. I am a friend and friendly. I am the heart of a child, free to play and to explore the wonderment and innocence of life itself. I am the center of the universe, the very focal point of all things seen and unseen. I am ever-evolving. I am a giver, a healer, and the source of life itself.

Who are you today? Affirm your nobility and speak the truth of your “I AM.”
