Your concepts “project” your reality, not the other way around. The physical world is in many ways a result of your interior projections, not a cause for your emotions, your suffering, and/or your wellness. If there is a secret to life, it would be to hold all forms (anything with a boundary) very loosely in your life, including your own concept of “self.” You cannot pin down anything – money, people, concepts, etc. It might be better to think of all forms – visible and invisible – as boundless, temporary, expansive, and illusive. It might be better to think of all things as open, fluid, and temporary. Even relationships cannot be pinned down – those will eventually change, and they will end at some point – through breakup or death of one individual. I’m not saying boundaries aren’t useful, however. Concepts, deadlines, finality, etc. are indeed useful to function in everyday society, but there is a danger in holding on too tightly to this fragment of human existence.
We as a species have grown too attached to the physical realm, including and most especially, our own concept of “self.” These boundaries have kept us prisoners from our own, more expansive understanding of reality. And what is real? The only so-called thing that is real is that part of you that makes the physical world even possible. And what makes the physical world possible? You do. And the “you” of which I speak has no physical form. It’s as expansive and boundless as the universe itself, and it will never be pinned down, locked in, or limited. If you detach from the boundaries of the physical world, including your mental concepts of self, and your needless dependence on others, life takes on a whole new meaning that makes it much more rich and fulfilling. Don’t clamp down, attach, and dig your heels into anything! If you do, the universe is likely to snatch it away from you. Instead, be open, think expansively, and be willing to give it all up. When you do, be ready for the wonders and blessing that will come your way!
