The river of prosperity rushes in to those who lovingly accept themselves.

Do you have a prosperity in your life – prosperity of health, time, relationships, money? Or do you hoard, neglect, scrimp, and feel guilty? Do you have prosperity of beauty? Is your place decorated to your liking; is it clean and tidy; and is it filled with beautiful things that you like to look at? Do you have prosperity of wholesome, nutritious foods – colorful, fresh, and tasty foods? Are you surrounded by people who make you feel energy, love, and help you to be yourself?

Look all around you, and see what areas of your life seem to lack prosperity. If you are not prosperous, in what ways do you feel unworthy, undeserving, or fearful? Accepting goodness means knowing that you, too, are good – worthy and deserving. You were created by the stream of goodness, the source of the universe itself. You are not separate from it, nor excluded by it. Why would you be any less deserving of finding true love, having awesome health and wellness, or in having an abundance of time and energy for those things that you truly desire?

Self-depravity is not humility. It’s guilt. You are never excluded from creation’s abundance, you just think you are. Be bold in knowing what you really want; expressing the gratitude of what you have; and in the intuition to know what is rightfully yours. Choices that are bad for you, are ones where you betray or ignore your inner desire. Bad choices are ones where you give into guilt, peer pressure, a sense of obligation, or because you are simply afraid to make a change or to take a risk. Bad choices come from ignoring yourself. You take what you can get because you’re afraid to go for what you know you deserve. Embrace your own deserving – feel what’s right, what’s peaceful, and what’s energizing. Get excited about what you want. Sharpen your sense of desire. Write a new narrative – search internally for that gut feeling, and begin to quench the thirst for fulfillment by pursuing what you truly desire. Then open your hands and heart – and prosperity will rush in, like a raging river.
