Life is but a stream.

The reason we cannot figure out a solution to a problem is an issue of “whoever smelt it dealt it.” True resolution comes from trusting that if you notice a problem, you simply need to realize that noticing is solving. The problem arises out of that darkness, and pure attention solves it simultaneously.

If you are drowning in debt, embroiled in relationship kerfuffles, burdened by job stress, or paralyzed by worry, your situation is inflamed. The secret to progress is letting go—letting it settle inside you. Yet, no one trusts advice that tells them to just sit on their hands. People feel they must meddle, which only serves to muddle. Stop stirring the sediment. That is what overthinking is: the murky darkness out of which a problem arises, disallowing you the clarity to “see it through.”

Become buoyant and still. Let the water take you and float. Imagine yourself drifting, allowing yourself to ooze down a lazy stream. When the inner pond clears, solutions float to you: money, inspired ideas, job opportunities, new friends, business prospects, and unexpected offers. Or you will float to them—either way.

If you have an unworkable problem, do not muddle. Become airy, and let the stream of life take you. There is no need to get clingy, grabby, and thrashing. This is the art of letting go, but you are not stagnant. You have simply aligned with the flowing water, which already clearly knows where it is going.

Float. Let the water take you gently into the clear, bright light of awareness.

There is no need to muck it up in the sediment; find peace in the buoyant settlement of clarity and airiness. Stream and pour light onto it, and muddy problems will dissolve, solving themselves as you float away and become light and buoyant.

Life is but a stream of consciousness, pure and undefiled.
