“What was done was not in God’s will.” “That goes against God’s will.” Another of my favorites is “That’s just not what God wanted.”
If an almighty, everlasting, and capable God is so weak that her will can be overridden, disobeyed, and ignored, then the argument of an almighty, everlasting, and capable being collapses. “Thy will be done.” And so, what is “Thy will be undone?” Or “Thy will is not being done?”
Is the cosmos struggling to evolve? Is “thy will” being done, or is it all being done? On a grand scale, you see how silly these questions are. But here on earth or even in your own life, something called “Thy will” seems fishy. God’s will is called into question, and many televangelists seem to know what God wills and what he does not will. And they keep us informed, even after they’ve molested children, imbibed the good company of a streetwalker, and been to prison for embezzlement.
The story of Eden is stuck in our minds. God told Eve not to disobey. Isn’t that just asking for it? She circumvented God’s so-called will. He was foiled and then upset. That tells me one thing – the Judeo-Christian god is an idiot of his own making.
If you think there is something “not supposed to be,” then you are the idiot. You believe in a false reality, a graven image called – “should-have-been.” The idiot casts judgement and weaves a story upon what is unchangeable – Reality.
Can you go against your own will? If you are doing it, you are willing it. Doing and willing are synchronistic. Even if you feel like you’re not going with the flow, The Flow flows.
Try stopping the cosmos. Good luck with that futility. Meanwhile, The Flow flows even when your feeble mind says, “I’m stuck.”
