The recipe for perfect scrambled eggs (or life).

Low and slow. That’s how I like to cook scrambled eggs. They come out creamy, silky, and just right. Gently moving, but low heat and gentle movement does wonders.

If you deal with your life high and fast, you confront it, and the results are tough and rubbery. Confronting circumstances tends to create tougher circumstances. When confronted, life has a way of fighting back and in many cases, running away.

If you walk into the forest with a “low and slow” energy, the animals won’t scatter. They might even approach you, unafraid of your presence. You won’t make much of a disturbance in the quiescence of the moment. You’ll “cook” right through and remain in this silky, creamy, and pliable state.

If you walk into a meeting, or you confront your day – watch out. The fear will arise all around you. People will run. They’ll perceive a threat and tremble. Seizing the day, confronting your chores, or barreling through your week makes for tough nuts, and I used to be a tough nut.

But even tough nuts can crack, like me. The tough nuts repel nature. They wreak havoc wherever they plow through, like a hurricane. But even toughness is natural, to a point.

But if you want luxurious, velvety goodness, go low and slow. Move so slowly that you are barely perceived. Be gentle within yourself. Notice how confrontational your ego is – get going you lazy loaf!

High and fast are the ways of the world. Love the low and slow technique. Nature loves us when we emulate her quiet ways. She showers her gentle blessing, creamy, silky eggs so delicious you can hardly stand them.

Low and slow. Keep ‘em gently moving in the pan. Be patient and don’t confront. The recipe for the perfect life (and eggs) is low and slow. A recipe for disaster – high and fast.
