There’s more where that came from.

In order to be open to receive you must be open to what is and to giving. I never understood the open, receptive, trusting part of the law of attraction. I always wanted things, and I got them! But I didn’t have to work nearly as hard. I thought life was about reaching up and plucking the fruit, storing it. But as I climbed and reached, the fruit seemed harder to “get to.” It was time to plant my own tree.

Life will allow you to grab and prod. But that becomes wearisome. It’s not worth it to objectify people and to keep your eye only on the prize. We run the race to win the prize, but the prize is not in plucking but in receiving divine unfolding within, cultivating without, and by receiving in a space that knows the law of endless supply.

This is the truth, the fruits of your labor are to be given away in a selfless act which demonstrates knowledge of who you are. The endless production of fruit isn’t to show off, but to show the inestimable loving principles of “there’s more where that came from.” When you grow your own food, you’ll never depend upon another. And the spirit feeds and nourishes perpetually in a self-fulfilling knowledge called faith. You demonstrate faith, showing the world that each grows his own misery, his own crops, his own everything and ultimately his own freedom.

That’s what effortless receiving is – joyful anticipation for the birth of something that’s been implanted by, with, and of itself, meant to be given away.

Love sees it through, coming to fruition on its own. Don’t grab. Gravity will deliver it right to your palm, then – give it away. There’s more where that came from. Demonstrate the law of endless supply. Show others there is no need to hoard, even in a famine.
