You cannot transform your body by hating it. Transformative power will not work if you look at your current body with disdain, disgust, and ridicule.
If you were to have found an obese dog, overfed by an insidious human, you would not nurse it back to health by fussing and spanking her. You would love that “fat dog” right away, as is. You’d love her rolls of blubber as she waddled. You would see her through the eyes of love. That’s how you would heal and transform – with patience, a slow and loving road to recovery.
“I love you too much to let you eat that pizza,” says Will Smith to himself, when considering food choice. You love the abused, “fat dog” too much to allow her to eat as she had been accustomed to. Even though she’d love a hotdog with fries, love is kinder than that. Love gives health. You see her through the eyes of love – in perfect health, lean, fit, and running free.
Look at your body and see how you feel by the image. Your body will not respond favorably if what you see in the mirror disgusts you. Your body will transform itself if you expose it, caress it, love it (all of it), and nurse it to health. It won’t respond if you make your love conditional either. When I lose 100 pounds, I’ll love and appreciate you. In the meantime, I’ll hate and abuse you.
The body is alive. Love your body back to health. Whatever condition your body is in, love it as is. Wear that bikini or Speedo now. Feel comfortable now. Wear that tank top now. Feel comfortable now. Naked, as is, loved.
The body will work wonders if you let it.
Love it back to life.
