The mind (the chatty head) tries, unsuccessfully, to take in all the considerations when making decisions and pondering the so-called future. The head believes itself to be the head of the household. But to get ahead, one must consider the heart, the Real Head of Household.
The heart is straightforward. It tells you all that you need to know, all that you need to do, and all that you need to be, now. It’s on an “as needed” basis. The heart is persistent but slow, patient, and subtle. Consider the heart, it may be silent. Consider the mind. It won’t shut up. The mind spins like a top. The heart settles and does one thing at a time, as instructed, now. Sometimes, there is no directive. The mind dolls out busywork.
The heart gives you simple tasks – to play, read, exercise, or simply relax. The heart says, “I’ll take care of it. You rest.” The mind retorts, “Whatever will we do?” “Do we listen to this strange heart, or do we run around like headless chickens?” Most of us do the headless chicken thing.
The heart thumps again, “I’ll take care of it. You rest, play, be merry, and love.” The mind questions such naive instruction. It’s busy taking in considerations and running the whole universe. But can I tell you, the mind cannot take in all the considerations. It’s the lowest common denominator. The Highest Common Denominator is clearer, quicker, more intimate. “I’ll take care of it,” it whispers. “You rest. You play. You love.”
Can you live from the heart? You must trust. If you can, you’ll be delightfully graced with riches that few seem to have. You’ll be delightfully graced with freedom. How can you have it so easy? It’s a simple message: Live from and trust the heart. It’s says, “I’ll take care of it.”
