I want to introduce you to Reality. The “Real World.” Most humans are living in mind-made reality, which is stripped of life, dimension, humor, contrast, death, and play. The fantastical, skeletal world of the mind has perfected something called “as it should be.” And this “as it should be” kind of world grits against something called “as it is, now.”
Can you sense the difference in you – “as it should be” and “as it is now?” We all sense this smearing of Reality, which causes suffering, in the form of disappointment. And so, we are constantly at odds with Reality, at least those who are trapped in the mind-made version. But there is only one version – NOW.
Mind-made reality is a description of Truth or what seems like the real world. It’s a tawdry attempt to be God. It’s a way of telling The Universe that you know better, to get a leg up on it, and to get this place shaped up! But our version of reality, which swirls around in the head, falls short of the Glory of Reality.
The Glory of Reality lives. It breathes. It contains a vast depth that mind-made reality can’t touch. The mind-made reality can’t even lick the bottom of Reality’s shoe. Reality can’t be known, only experienced as a fullness which defies description. Stop thinking for one second. How could you even think you could describe what’s happening now, much less convince yourself that your version of it is “better.”
What is, is now, and will be forever. The Glory of Reality is so deep, so broad, so high that it defies description. How could the world “as it should be” compare to the Glory of Reality “as it is now?” It can’t. Reality wins – it’s vivid, it’s deep, and it’s alive. I’ll never catch it. It leaves me speechless.
