A rose is the last part of the plant to see the light of day. The inner part of the flower is the fullness of light, one could say, but all through its upbringing it’s in complete darkness. When the leafy seedling of the rose bush pierces the soil, the rose hides in the bosom of invisibility. It could take 4 years for the bush to go from a seed to rose. It’s called a rose bush, but it’s a thorny, leggy thing for nearly half of its life!
If you didn’t know any better, you might lop off a rose bush, not realizing what glory is to come! The rose, nor the bush, has any idea what beauty lies within. It’s completely unaware of its flowering abundance, and we, like the rose, have no idea of what glory we are to demonstrate in this “darkened” world.
People look like thorny weeds, but that’s a setup. They are hidden orchids, roses, lilies – invisible and appearing as other. People are the universe’s flowering trees – the pinnacle of an invaginated exposition in waiting. The rose has no idea of her beauty and fragrance – neither does the human, lost in the darkness in which they are planted. Don’t we know we flower? The seed, the roots, the branches, the buds, the rose.
Under the soil, ready yourself to sprout a bouquet of passions and ideas fit for a king! You have it made in the shade. That’s where “the making” of star is born – in the shady underworld of invisibility. The darkness is a set up for a striking unveiling. Don’t kill it before you realize who you are, a flowering radiance which produces a most glorious display of wonder and awe, not for your entire life, but in due season.
