If you look at the projections, the statistics, and the forecasts, or if you look at what the experts say- doom is imminent. Danger ahead! In 50 years we will be x, y, and z. In 30 years, 1 in 5 Americans will be x, y, and z.
I don’t quite understand why forecasts feel like doomsday, and now feels like paradise. When you dive into the present moment, clear headed and serene, it seems like all is well – at least in my being it does. But when you Google your symptoms, you’ve got cancer and death is coming in a few hours.
I don’t know. Should I be informed? Real information is in-formed – meaning it comes from within. The way most of us get our so-called information is really “out there.” I’m not saying that the experts don’t know what they are talking about or that the projections are wrong, but those sorts of scientific tools were not available 100 years ago. Seems like the more projections and statistics we’ve got, the more scared we are. 100 years ago, nobody knew as much as we purportedly know today. Is such knowledge useful? Perhaps it is – but when I engage with it, it doesn’t seem to help me, now.
The more I don’t know the more content I am. No information, by way of search results, projections, so-called news, and statistics, is the best formation. You are formed from within – that’s how an informing occurs. What does the depths of your being say? Usually it doesn’t “say” anything. It prompts with feelings and resonance. And the feeling deep below in the present moment is “all is well.” But the forecasts are telling me I “should” be afraid. My oracle is the present moment – calm and serene. That’s the way I am formed – from within. That’s real information.
