Demonstrate willingness. I have found myself saying “no” too many times. If you’re looking for friends, you often conjure up ways of how, so then you get invited to some event, and you say no. Why? It seems lame. But how do you know you won’t meet your new best friend or the love of your life?
I’ve said “no” thinking that a better opportunity will come along. The universe will deliver your goods, but likely in the weirdest ways. There will be leads that won’t work, but that’s part of the windup. The universe is looking to see if you are not only willing, but that you are persevering. Keep investigating every little nook and cranny!
I think that when we want something, we expect it to be delivered in full form. But how do you know it’s not hiding in what looks like a “lame” opportunity? What seems suspicious just might be your golden ticket. When you get an idea to do something, don’t pooh pooh it! Look into it. Give it a go and see what happens. Life is experimental, and you’ve got to try every possible lead, or the leads will stop coming.
When I get an inkling, I try it. When I get an invitation, I say yes. When I get a hunch, I pursue it. It may lead to a dead end, but the hunt continues. I’m now curious about the treasures that are all around and within. It doesn’t come as the golden opportunity, the big-ticket idea, or the eureka moment. It comes as breadcrumbs or in what seems lame. Are you willing to follow every lead and to look in the unsuspecting places? That’s how you’ll find – by being willing to look everywhere. Besides, that’s the fun of it. Look, listen, and be willing. You’ll never know until you turn over every stone.
