There’s nowhere to go but with the flow.

Life flows downstream, gently and ad infinitum. The momentum of a divinely inspired life flows out gently. Wishing, regretting, fretting, or avoiding is an up flow and is wrought with friction. Hoarding and panicking absolutely wears you out and does nothing to advance you. It just impedes the natural flow of your truth.

Pushing ahead, pushing away, and holding on simply creates a hindrance to the flow; but gently, it’s going to get to where it’s going. Silly human, do you think you can stop it, change it, or push it ahead? I have another suggestion, let go. Like being on a lazy river on a summer’s day, a divinely inspired life floats. The inner tube is your center, your inner core of being. That space in the middle of the inner tube – that’s the sweet spot, the perfect dwelling of infinite peace and unconditional love. That’s where nothing can touch you. Sit in that space and flow happens.

Let the stream take you where it just so happens to be going. Those who know this secret have no need for a motor, a towboat, or a paddle. They deeply trust in the divine stream that flows gently and perfectly with the adjacent scenery wafting by. Inspired inner-tube dwellers float downstream, effortlessly. They make it look easy because they know that living is easy once you cooperate. Their limbs soften like jelly, and they enjoy the sights and sensations. They have no destination. Living itself is a joyride to nowhere.

The divinely inspired wave at others, laugh and tell stories, stop and take a soak, or feel the warm rays of sunshine on their naked bodies. They trust full-well that they are always going in the right direction. The rest are restless. The key is to stop flailing. It’s getting you nowhere. But that’s OK, we’re all going nowhere. Why not recognize there’s nothing to do and nowhere to be. There’s nowhere to go but with the flow.
