What if? Meet the moment and see.

When faced with an unknown, the first thing many people do is get a bad case of the “what ifs.” What I have come to learn is that no matter what happens, there is always a way, and it will find its way to me. It will either be an idea or help from the outside, but inside, I will ultimately feel the click and know what to do or where to go. Lean into the unknown. You are the way. You are the way around, through or over what seems to be stopping you.

If you keep swirling around in the what ifs, coming off the top of your head, you’ll never tap into the deeper resources of your gut which knows the way. There, you’ll find a stable and convincing kind of energy. When you get quiet and grounded, you’ll feel a more solid and reliable voice. The anchor of the soul knows what to do but not a moment too soon. The what ifs are trying to get a leg up on what appears unknown. But the anchor of the soul knows that the unknown and the known are both alike. We aren’t living in a dangerous world. I know it seems like it is, but faithful people know better.

You will carve the way forward, and you will know what to do in the moment when action is necessary. If nothing is necessary, do something recreational! If you start getting the what ifs, pause. Whatever happens, your greater sensibilities will kick in and you’ll know. Meet the moment, and you’ll be able to respond because you are the way forward. There is no way that you can be stuck, unless you keep spinning your wheels in the what ifs. Meet the moment and see what you are capable of.
