Can’t you see how important you are? It’s you. It’s all you, and that’s all that can be – other things cannot be without you. Nothing can be without you, so in a way all things come from you and you are all things. It is you who make them so; therefore, you are the source of all things, the center of the universe, the source of light and life.
You can go along with it. You can engage in your role, but that’s not the entire story. Go ahead, act, reflect, plan, and do something; but remember, the great happening is unfolding and you are the witness not the doer. You’re the child, not the parent. You’re the Director, disguised as the actor, pretending not to know the Director. So keep pretending. It’s fun to be an actor. You get to see the unfolding drama, without having to spoil the plot in advance.
The point of acting is to act. The point of dancing is to dance. The point of music is to listen. The point of life is watching it unfold – one surprise after the next. The point of going is to “get there,” but when you “get there” you’re here. You can’t get there. Can you see the futility? In a way it’s all pointless, but it is you who are the point of emphasis.
Being is the point of access. Reality cannot be changed. Reality is. But reality cannot be without you. Realize this important nugget. Being is the point of access to reality, and it is through you that all things are possible. Are you convinced that you are point, and that everything else is pointless?
