How could you know that you are “only human” if there weren’t some masquerading limitlessness sneaking around within you? For to know limit, you must unconsciously ignore potential. Have you ever really thought of what potential is? It’s a indirect sense of not knowing yourself.
You will surprise yourself. You’ll say things you regret. You’ve engaged in past behaviors that your current self abhors. You’ve had things happen to you that your former self would have “not wanted.” You’ve been shocked, disappointed, surprised, and bored with yourself. A real expert wouldn’t even be able to talk to themselves, for they would already know what was to be said. They would never have an idea, for they’d know all ideas at once. There are no real experts, just ignorant people pretending that they know “everything.”
One day coffee is good and the next day it’s poison. One day, fats are dangerous and the next day, the keto diet is the latest rage. One day you’re living the dream, and the next day, it’s a nightmare. One day you’re in your “forever relationship.” After you discover a cheating spouse, it becomes your “temporary relationship.” If you were the expert, none of it would make you smile, cry, or laugh. You’d pick all the winning lottery numbers and never be happy when your numbers were called. You’d know the outcome of every war and every Super Bowl – no risk, no surprise, no serendipity, no disappointment, and no mystery. Do you really know yourself, or are you the foolish “expert?” You’ve got room to grow. You’ve got the great mystery of the unknown unfolding within you. It’s what makes you blissfully ignorant, yet innocent like a child. Only so-called experts and leading authorities are stupid. They buy into that nonsense that they know “everything.” Don’t trust an expert, especially those who think they know themselves. Life will always have a shocking headline for them!
