Trusting the unknown is the way.

We are foolishly preoccupied with knowing, “beyond a shadow of a doubt.” But as we narrow our viewpoint, we blind ourselves to the virtue of freedom, total trust. Although we fear it, it is in the shadow of doubt that greatness germinates. That seeming shadow is the brightness of potential. Yet we still believe the foremost authority; the leading expert; the founding fathers; and the wise sage. Common perception is that The Truth lies somewhere “out there.” But Truth reveals itself internally, one human at a time. This awakening from doubt to faith is the great, next frontier for humankind.

If the rule of law were absolute, (or anything in written or conceptual form) then there would be no need for the judicial system. When truth takes the form of words, it can never be absolute. When truth is explained, the doubtful side is drawn up with it. An internal, silent truth is the only absolute, and you must trust it. Do you beat your own heart? Even your so-called voluntary actions are not “yours,” but an effect of a greater life-force that is in harmony with itself.

Do you trust, or do you need to “know?” If you need to reign in nature, then Big Brother needs to be everywhere. The organism cannot be dominated, for it knows how to care for itself. When not meddled with, it flourishes. At some point we must come to the conclusion that life cannot be controlled, and nature cannot be reigned in, but simply forgiven and allowed to be as it is. As it says in A Course In Miracles “Let healing be.” That doesn’t mean we don’t engage with life, but that we simultaneously trust it. No-one is the leading expert. We are all followers of the Great Unknown. Deep trust in ourselves, each other, and the world are the only steps to harmony.
