The teachers are here. Pay attention and learn.

A teacher delights in a student’s success. When they finally get it, it’s called a breakthrough. Parents love that too, when a youngster learns how to do something all by themselves. That growth journey, which is all about independence, never stops. We must learn to rely on our own wisdom; our own adaptability; and our own self-generating joy. Life is teaching us moment by moment, but too few are paying attention.

Your soul and your world contain valuable insight. Your body is teaching you. Pay attention to how you feel, that’s the first place to start. If you go around full of angst, frustration, and resentment, it’s a sign that the teacher is here, but go inward to learn. We think others need to learn, but not so fast Sherlock. If you want a breakthrough, you must look at yourself, not your circumstances or others.

How do you feel about the person that you are? If you feel miserable, go back to the beginning and try again. Are you ashamed of your body? Is the body in pain, overweight, or distressed? Address it. The body is to be free from pain, vibrant, proudly upright, lean and limber. What is your body teaching you? Then, learn from people in your life. This is a hard one because people seem difficult. What are they teaching you? If you criticize and condemn others, you’re not letting the lessons sink in. If others need to change, you’re not passing any of your tests. Finally be with nature. Nature lovingly waits for you to learn about where you come from. Heck, life is one, big teaching moment. How often are you paying attention to yourself, your body, others, and your environment, which are all focal points of value? The teachers here and now, and they will not stop until you start learning the joy of self-reliance.
