It will come. Everything just seems to arrive. Some things will take a good long while, but they eventually find you. Success finds you. People find you. Difficulty finds you. Death finds you. But in what state are you found today? Are you scared, are you open, are you anticipatory? When I’m at school working, and people knock on my door, they usually find me in a distracted state. I’m buried on my computer, answering emails, or working on things I don’t particularly like. Too many times, they find me a bit crusty. I don’t want to be found that way.
I want people to find me pleasantly receptive. I want them to feel welcomed when they find me. People who find you humorous, pleasant, receptive, and loving will be more inclined to help you with your goals and dreams. They’ll remember you, if something good comes up. They’ll include you in fun plans. They’ll forward your name to someone who knows about a job, a gig, or a connection that could benefit you. If people find you perturbed, unavailable, or “too busy,” why would they ever come to your aid, offer you an opportunity, or ask you what you need?
Behind every good gift is a person who helps that gift arrive into your life. Let all things find you doing well. Even challenge can find you doing well. No need to be pulled away from that oasis of wellness, is there? Back in the day, letters began with something like, “I hope this finds you well.” What a wonderful sentiment – that all things would find you in a state of bliss. If you were well, more wellness would find you. If you were love, more love would find you. If you were happy, more happiness would find you. How will you be found today?
