Don’t just prepare for emergencies, prepare for prosperity!

5 January 2021

It’s easy to get too involved in preparing for a challenge. You could save too much money for that “rainy day,” that probably won’t ever show up. You may have too many storm supplies – canned goods, bottled water, first aid kits, etc. Your backup plans at work, and in life, might be too complicated, or mired in fear. When you try to “out strategize” life, it never works. You try, with all your might, to avoid challenge, and you end up living in fear. In a fearful mode, you stockpile. You hoard and you hunker down. But is life asking us to do this? What are you preparing for? Future disaster, or future prosperity?

Today, spend more time preparing for amazing surprises. Make space and time for the universe to provide what it loves to give you. If you are too busy hoarding and preparing for the worst, when can the universe ever expose its “best?” You haven’t created any space for it. Be receptive to opportunity today. Listen and remain expectant for something wonderful. You’re already prepared for the worst – you’ve been doing well with that one! Now shift your focus, and start preparing for the best. The excitement of hope will surprise you at every turn. Be receptive to the goodness coming your way today. Your fire extinguisher is charged and ready, your emergency funds are plentiful, and your contingency plans are all set. Now take your focus on what good surprises can come your way. Make some space for the “delivery” that the universe wants to bring out of its own stockpile. The universe has abundance in the storage of potential. Expect greatness today, no more need to prepare for the worst. Onward to better expectations and a life of hope!
