Have you ever noticed when someone gets carried away by their thoughts and feelings? Even though they may be in the same room with you, it feels like they’re on a different planet. Perhaps you’ve even sensed this in yourself, and you can’t focus on what’s right in front of you because your thoughts and feelings have carried you off into another world. In a way, the mind has a powerful way of taking you far from being centered and gravitated in truth. Being centered in truth is noticing the times when the mind is NOT carrying on with endless thinking. It’s noticing the gaps in thought. It’s totally immersing yourself in the NOW.
Today, don’t get carried away by the mind. Come back down to to the center of truth. Begin each day with some quiet and center yourself. Don’t justify your obsessive thoughts or nervous compulsiveness. Leave that alone. Today is your chance to focus on peace. No matter what’s going on, the center of truth is always submissive, and it’s always available to you if you calm down enough to notice it. You may find that your thinking wants to take you into the rafters. Joy and peace await you if you just come down into the center of your being. Notice the stillness in between thoughts that come up. Take a break from all that thinking and make peace happen today. Make time to find your center of truth. It’s closer than your mind “thinks” it is!
