Humiliation and failure are not death. Bankruptcy, divorce, loss, or disability are not death. Death is final, challenge is temporary. Challenge only feels like death, but it’s a death of who you used to be. Eventually, you will bloom again, but only if you recognize the seasons of your soul.
If you are alive, that means only one thing: you are always in transition. You are meant to grow from past experiences, not be held down by them forever. You are meant to conquer the fear of the past by moving above it. You are meant to transcend what you think holds you under the surface; to beat addictions; to reconcile or move on from that relationship; or to rethink your so-called limits. To bloom is to open the mind, to see above the surface, and to know you’re always growing, even in moments of despair and delay.
You are rising. Your experiences strengthening you for a bountiful harvest, no matter how bleak and quiet it seems beneath the surface. In death, you remain covered forever. But in life, you will see cycles of light and darkness. There will be periods of pruning, being cut down to the roots again, but that only strengthens you for next season, which will be fuller, more colorful, and more productive. Life will replant you, not bury you. It only seems like burial. Your roots are spreading, even if you cannot detect that truth. You have to believe that are growing, maturing, moving upwards. Your soul is being prepared. When you come up from the soil, you will be a stunning display of nature’s finest work. Get ready, you’re not buried at all. You’ve simply been replanted.
