Few believe that their purpose in life is to thrive, to bloom, to flourish, and to excel. The most important decision you’ll ever make as a human is what to believe about your future. Are you here to win, to thrive, to excel; or are you here to lose, be deprived, and to have nothing? Are you here to serve, create, and contribute, or are you here to get what you can? You get to decide.
Probability seems realistic. Doubt is easy. Faith is found in silence, patience, and stillness. Possibility is harder because it requires imaginative effort, enormous patience, and a deep faith in something larger at work in the universe. Humans love to take the easy way, to be right and say, “I knew it wouldn’t work out.” But the possibility thinkers know it just takes a little more time or re-calibration. But you know what’s much more rewarding than being right? – being blessed, witnessing improbable miracles, believing that something amazing is possible. I like beating the odds more than I like being the odds.
The world doesn’t want you to have faith because then you’d rise like a rocket. Negative people only know the easy way – doubt. Practical people stick with what’s comfortable, probability. Positive people go deeper. Believing takes courage, open-minded patience, and a special kind of knowledge, that life was meant to flourish. You are here to thrive, otherwise what’s the point? I know it’s hard to distrust fear, but one of the most important choices you’ll ever make is what to believe about your future. The rewards of faith will always outweigh the so-called satisfaction of saying, “I told you so.”
