You are on the winning side of your story. You are the one who will inherit the throne of victory. What happened to you in the past doesn’t have to be what happens to you again, in the future. You can break the cycle of defeatist thinking. You can break the curse of negative belief. You can beat the thoughts that beat you down. You can end sadness.
There are others in the world who have overcome their sad saga. They’ve overcome loss and difficulty that you could never understand. Each day that you wake up, you can either slip into despair, or you can climb a little higher. Certainly you know that there is something better in store, but not until you start to wrap up your sad story. Your story doesn’t not have to end in tragedy.
You can start the day like an innocent child, fresh, curious, open. Small children are usually happy, because they have no history. They don’t have long pasts that sadden them. They only have futures, their imaginations are blank canvasses, their baggage is light. Maybe it’s time to think of yourself as newly created. Maybe it’s time rethink your purpose, and to see if there is something new in your potential. Maybe it’s time to forge a new beginning, not to keep dredging the defeat of the past. You have goals each day, to be victorious over sadness; to climb a little higher than your limit; and to open yourself to more. Keep your story moving in one direction, towards happiness. Let death find you with a smile on your face, no matter what. It may be time to escape the land of giants, and to defeat at lease one of them, the sad story that you keep telling yourself. Today the story can start over.
