It’s never a good time to make a conclusion. The music of life is still playing. You can’t draw a conclusion because you don’t have the big picture, no-one does. The world is billions of years old, so why would it suddenly come to and end, just because you’re frightened about the state of affairs? We’re just in the middle of a passage, a bit discordant and dissonant, but life’s symphony is still unfolding, isn’t it? Let’s let the music play out a little longer, and just see where it’s going.
No-one sits at the controls of the universe, which literally means one song (“uni” means one and “verse” means song). The conductor hasn’t given the cut off, so keep playing “Nearer My God To Thee,” even if the Titanic is going down into the icy abyss. As least you will have contributed to consoling the doomed passengers! The final cadence has not sounded, so don’t be so presumptive about what you hear in this particular moment of history’s song.
The nature of our world is like a work of art. Your life is a microcosm of that expressive artwork. You may have made a mess out of everything, but the universe always seems to manage a way to bring it all together. If it happens on the individual level, it will happen on the collective level, and everything will eventually work out. Life as a whole is like the movements of a vast, complex symphony culminating into perfect harmony. No individual is conducting, so chill out, and let the music play out as it goes. Just do your best in your contribution to the grand scheme of things, and simply enjoy the monumental, collective performance. I think we have a long way to go. Just keep making music and see where it goes. Changes are, you’ll never get to hear the ending anyway.
