When you tell you life’s story, reverse engineer your formula for success, and share how you were able to do what you’ve done. We have all had successes and failures, but we often just think about what went wrong, or how a bad break got us off track. If you insist on sharing your sob story, focus on what lessons your learned from the saga. Every sob story has a lesson for transformation, so don’t forget to share that part of your journey – it could be very helpful to others who are struggling. Telling people how you were done wrong, or how you got shortchanged doesn’t help you improve, it keeps you stuck. You may have had your fair share of misfortune, but don’t dwell on that. Share how you transformed from your setbacks – that’s where you can be beneficial to others.
Humans love to banter about struggle, about how hard life is, or about injustice. But that’s not the whole story, is it. Think of all of the successes in your life. How did they happen? Reverse engineer that success, and think of ways of sharing a step-by-step how-to. If you insist on reverse engineering your failures, be sure not to leave out the part about how transformational the lessons you learned were! Your story has merit, so share the valuable parts of it.
Your success stories are fascinating because they teach. They teach us that is always works out. The right people come into your life, just in the right time, to guide you. Amazing “coincidences” line up just perfectly, making it seem like things just fall into place. Your skills get better over time, and they become useful to you in positive ways. All of it miraculously leads to your success, so share your victories. People need encouragement, so don’t hold back. Your stories will help people feel like they can be just as successful as you have been, if not more!
