To be a human is to be ever-changing.

I think we are enigmas, beings who cannot be totally understood. People cannot be caged in your summary of them. You cannot “conclude” who they are, because they are evolving creatures, just like you.

It’s okay that you are so strange, maybe even messy and unpredictable. People are aliens because they are trying to figure out who they are, just like you are trying to figure out who you are. But remember, figuring out who you are is a moving target. How strange is that quest, not for far off lands, but the search that extends within yourself and others, an infinite journey. You can never fully discover another human as a final destination. No, it’s better to assume you know nothing, and that humans are a vast galaxy of unending exploration.

You know very little about the people who are closest to you. And likely you know very little about the person who looks through your own eyes, everyday. You just assume you know, and that assumption will eventually get challenged. Give humans (yourself included) room to grow, to evolve, and to figure out what it actually means to be a person. To be a human is to be ever-changing. The undefinable enigma of who you are needs to evolve naturally, organically, on it’s own, and without your brain’s imposition of all of these so-called conclusions. But we are open entities, not closed, summarized, or finalized. There is an innocence to the foundation of what a person actually is. There is an unknowable miracle that animates the form. It’s not definable, nor is it final, nor understandable, so let it be, but respect it with the utmost of awe and wonder.
