Your life is significant because of who you are.

Have you ever pondered your own significance in the world? Believe it or not, you are the source of great meaning to other people. You are significant. Even a stranger will see your presence as meaningful, in the smallest contribution you make in their life – a smile, a chat, or a kind gesture. Showing interest in other people and displaying compassion for their wellness impacts them in the most significant ways. But we are often oblivious to our own impact on the planet. Even the smallest contribution can have so much meaning. Don’t forget that you are the source of significance in what you contribute in the lives of others!

When we fail to recognize our own contributions in the lives of others, we only diminish our own sense of self-worth. Even though they might not acknowledge it, people are vastly grateful for your presence. It’s not until one dies, when they leave our midst, that we realize the true impact of their lives on earth. But why wait to hear your eulogy or to read your obituary on the other side of death before you ponder your own significance? Why not begin to see just how much you mean to others, while you still have time to realize it?

Accept, honor, and respect the awesome responsibility of your significance by honoring and appreciating what you contribute in the world. There are so many people whose lives have so much meaning, simply because you are a part of it. See this awesomeness within yourself, and be happy that you have made such a positive difference in the lives of others, simply by being who you were meant to be. Your life is a gift to others. Don’t deny them the pleasure of your presence, by diminishing your own significance in the world!
