The mind is a terrible master, but a great tool. Same with money. Money is the worst kind of master. It’s always saying “No.” But the truth is, the mind is a servant or a tool. Money serves the master. In the same way as the mind serves the master.
We are confused. Money rules! Think carefully. What a backwards way to understand yourself. If money is a tool, it’s like saying screwdrivers are King! It’s like saying the mind rules the world. But there is a deep secret. The mind cannot make a subject out of itself. You are the master who uses the mind as a tool. You are the master who uses money as a tool. Who is the tool then? That one is trickier, but you are the tool too! But in the end, the master wins.
Are you the tool, or are you the one who uses the tool? The answer to that question is a resounding yes. The master user comes first. How could I explain that I am the tool, the user of the tool, and the master who uses the tool? How is all of that one? I wish I could explain, but there is a priority here. Who is the master when the master is all of it?
So many of us allow money to power, rule, and give us permission. So many of us allow thoughts to power, rule us, and to give us permission. But there is only one master, and that is me – fueled by my own desire. There will be nothing I cannot do without the right master.
Now, once again – which master do you serve? It depends upon how you prioritize – the tool, the concept, or the source of it all.
