Procrastination is thinking you’ll have the tools, inspiration, ideas, people, money, etc., later. It’s a scarcity mindset that believe that all treasures are later, over there, and “when I.”
Everything starts organically, at the local level, and now. Look at what you have and use it. Start in your own backyard. What do you know now? What can you work with now? Who can you call upon now? What ideas do you have now? When you view your resources now as puny you miss it! You beat procrastination by focusing! If you don’t focus on what you have now, you are certainly not going to get it later.
A procrastinator is one who overlooks and misses treasures right under their nose. They overlook what little, tiny effort could be made now. They overlook the people in their life, thinking they need new people, new circumstances, and new digs. It’s like a parent whose child says to them, “Mommy, I’m bored and have nothing to do.” Then, the parent goes into the child’s room to find a plethora of toys, games, videos, and coloring books!
You’ve got a plethora of people, resources, ideas, desires, etc. to keep you occupied for several lifetimes. Do you know how many multibillion dollar enterprises were started with “stupid” ideas? Most people think their ideas are dumb, crude, already taken, couldn’t amount to anything, or even childish. A purposeful life leaves no leads unturned! They don’t care if their idea seems stupid or their resources seem limited. They just make a start and say yes. They take what little they have and pour their heart into it. Do you know how much has begun with 0? It’s because those people realized they are ground 0, the epicenter of amazing prosperity. Pour your heart into it and go from 0-60, right now.
