Basic necessities: Understanding.

In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Princess Leia gives a profound response when asked if they can rebuild after the Resistance was decimated. Calmly she says,

We have everything we need.

You have two choices. Either you have everything you need, or you lie in wait. If you lie in wait, building an army, a stockpile, or a fortress, you’re operating from lack. Fear is your captain.

However, if you have everything you need, you proceed confidently. What if you lived from that vantage, that you had everything you needed? How do you know you have everything you need? You came into the world with everything you needed. You will leave the world with everything you need. What’s that? Absolutely nothing.

Everybody hasn’t a thing. And that’s plenty enough to go on. It’s simple – naked baby you were, mom’s breast waiting to feed you. And from there you continued. Dying is simple too – naked corpse, mortician taking you to the coffin or the oven. From there you’ll continue.

This moment is brought to you by abundance. Tomorrow is brought to you by lack and insufficiency. How do we manage? Staying in the moment where you have it all. Today, we have everything we need. Tomorrow, we lack.

If you operate from today, you’re rich, and you will be forever. If you lie in wait, you’re poor forever. Either you have what you need or you don’t. I believe Princess Leia. And so I move confidently. Fear does not lead me, for I have abandoned the myth of tomorrow.

I came equipped with everything I need. So what does one do if they have everything? They give. They laugh. They live. They enjoy serving. They goof off. Too bad the poor people are stuck. They lack basic necessity.

I shall joyfully serve what they need – simple teaching for basic understanding.
