I don’t understand abundance, but something sticks out to me – dance. The root ‘ab’ means ‘from’ and the second part of the word, ‘dance,’ is derived from the Latin ‘undare’ which means ‘surge.’ Something is surging from within. Is that abundance? Maybe it could be another way of looking at it. This word has more to do with frivolity and pointless movement than anything else.
Dancing seems absolutely frivolous and without point. When the music starts, you get a surge. Sometimes you just “find” yourself tapping to the music. Babies bob their little butts even before they can walk. How do they know how to move to the music? It seems like the universe itself is humming and brimming with waves. ‘Undare’ means surge or wave, as if the universe is just waving at itself. It’s an electrical current perhaps? Positive and negative are joined in perfect unitive mystery.
Affluence and abundance are about movement, rather than collectivity or additivity. DJ Kool Herc was said to have coined the term breakdancing. The term breaking was 1970s slang for ‘getting excited’, ‘acting energetically’ or ‘causing a disturbance’. Perhaps abundance might be thought of as breaking through the notion that you need something, that you are kept from wealth, or that you’re different from “the rich.”
Move to the music. Surge from within and break free from the notion that anything is wrong, that you’re being kept from something, or that you have no energy or resources. Remember, abundance surges from within. Affluence flows.
Act energetically and you shall receive energy. Get excited and you shall receive excitement. Act rich and you shall be without waiting. The surge of abundance is from within. Turn on the music. You’ll see. Everybody is rich with affluence, opulence, and abundance. Breakdance, break free, and break through to riches beyond compare.
