The “I am” is capable of any identity. Invoke a name and the image you call to mind appears before your eyes.
My “I am” was mediocre, average, and frankly poor. I never understood that the “I am” was that “I am.” The one and only. Are there different “I am’s?” Seems that way.
If you want to experience the universe in its fullest radiance, something Jesus called “abundant life,” you might reconsider what follows “I am.” Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” “I am the living bread that came down from heaven.” “I am the true vine.” “I am the good shepherd.”
Those are some hefty “I am’s.” I was saying and thinking things to myself like, “I am just mediocre.” “I am vague.” “I am too old.” “I’m stressed out.” “I am not very smart.” “They are idiots.” You are, they are, we are – all forms of I which embodies the image you call to mind with it.
The Buddha said, “I am awake.” And “Heaven above and heaven below, I alone am worthy of honor.”
Those are some hefty “I am’s,” too. The level you believe yourself to be is the level you’ll see reflected in the world. The more you really see and fully encounter yourself, the more your reflection in the world improves. Invoke the “I am” carefully, and it will provoke reality. Utter it and watch it materialize. Feel it and see how powerful it is as it manifests.
I am unlimited. I am boundless, eternal love. I am abundant, wealthy, healthy, and wise. I am the Ancient of Days. I am source out of which all things arise. I am intelligent, exponentially infinite. I am potential realized and actualized.
Which “I am” are you? That I am or this one? The difference is up to you.
