When you live from the ego, more is never enough. Most is never enough. Likewise, least is never enough. Superlatives like most and least (and never) really mean more and more or less and less. The ego is infinite in its craving and its embracing of \u201cendings.\u201d Consider it endless craving. The ego is endless because it, too, is begotten of the same infinity we call spirit. But the two are one, joined in oscillation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ego believes in the \u201ccraziest\u201d person and the supreme destroyer. This is the person who would push the button and blow us all to smithereens, the antichrist. The ego could destroy the planet in a single act. So why not erase this \u201chorrid\u201d world, as assumed by the ego? Why hasn\u2019t someone hastened Armageddon?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ego forgets that crazy stupid and crazy genius are bedfellows. The craziest scientists are the ones who developed nuclear technology in the first place. Oppenheimer, Einstein, and a host of \u201ccrazy\u201d intellects made a tool that a psychopath could exploit. Who\u2019s who in the world of crazy now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re looking at two sides of crazy. The demented destroyer is the demented inventor. Why? The infinite intelligence required at \u201ceither end\u201d of this loopy spectrum of potential is the same difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The only reason why we have destructive potential is because we have inventive and creative potential. We can take our own lives. Even the \u201cstupidest\u201d person could figure out how to hang themselves. If it\u2019s so easy to destroy \u201ceverything,\u201d I wonder why it hasn\u2019t occurred. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It doesn\u2019t take a rocket scientist to destroy life, but no one seems to know how to create it from scratch. When \u201ccrazy stupid\u201d and \u201ccrazy smart\u201d are \u201cfrom scratch,\u201d what difference does it make in a world of who\u2019s who?
