Love is a growth agent, a catalyst for change, a skill, meant for your own good. A loving partner helps you understand your negative thinking, your self-serving attitudes, your limiting beliefs, and your misconceptions. Love is corrective. It\u2019s more like looking into a mirror than it is like looking through a window. Learn from what you see, don\u2019t resist it. Some people have a hard time looking into a mirror. They hate seeing themselves through the people they claim to love. Love doesn\u2019t cast blame on others however, it reflects back to you areas where you need to grow. Intimacy is hard because it exposes us to the truth of who we are, and what we’ve done, and that sometimes hurts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pain of love is a temporary and a necessary part of dissolving the ego, conquering fear, and correcting biases. Love is cathartic and helps you drill down into areas that hold you back. Love relieves the pressure of the collapsing ego, and it brings you to new levels of understanding. Love is not only a skill, but a stern teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
True love is what helps you discover your true self. That journey can be uncomfortable, particularly when you begin learning how you\u2019ve caused pain to yourself and others. Love helps you to grow as an individual, and to open your mind in new ways. A good partner helps get you on a corrective course – one that always files down the sharpness of the ego. If you love someone deeply, be grateful for what they\u2019ve done to open yourself up to the truth. The occasional pain of love is good. It\u2019s a healing medicine meant to help you to examine your conscience, but that medicine is not always easy to swallow. Look into the mirror of love, and learn from it.
